Mrs. Rony Joys Participation as a Resource Person for Parent Orientation Programme
On March 9, 2024, Mrs. Rony Joy, Assistant Professor at Christ College, served as a Resource Person for the Parent Orientation Programme held at St. Aloysius School, Jabalpur. The aim of the event was to provide guidance and support to parents in facilitating their childrens educational journey.
Mrs. Joys participation in the programme was highly impactful. She brought to the table her extensive knowledge and experience in the field of education, enriching the discussions and providing valuable insights to the parents present.
Dr. Diwakar Singh as the Resource Person of the Special Session of MMTC, Devi Ahilya, Vishwavidhyalaya, Indore
Dr. Diwakar Singh, Associate Professor, Christ College was invited as a Resource Person on 20 November 2023 to Malviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore. Dr Singhs lecture was for a Short-term course on Teaching, Learning, and Evaluation. The topic of his talk was, Classification of Evaluation for Classroom Practices. The session was attended by teachers of higher education from 9 different states. Christ College is proud of Dr Diwakar Singh and his contribution in the field of Education.
Session by Dr. Prince Jain: Roles, Responsibilities, and Ethics of a Secondary School Teacher
On 18 January 2024, Dr. Prince Jain, Principal of Pt. Ramlal Sharma College of Education conducted a highly informative session on the roles, responsibilities, and ethics of a secondary school teacher for the students of B.Ed. and M.Ed. The session aimed to provide aspiring educators with a comprehensive understanding of their multifaceted roles in the academic environment and the ethical considerations essential to the teaching profession.
Session Highlights:
1. Role Definition: Dr. Prince Jain provided a clear definition of the roles a secondary school teacher assumes, including educator, mentor, facilitator, and role model.
2. Responsibility Breakdown: A breakdown of the responsibilities involved in teaching, ranging from creating effective lesson plans to nurturing a supportive learning atmosphere, was presented.
3. Ethical Guidelines: The session emphasized the adherence to ethical guidelines in the teaching profession, emphasizing honesty, fairness, and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
4. Case Studies and Scenarios: Real-life case studies and scenarios were presented to illustrate the practical application of ethical considerations in the day-to-day activities of a secondary school teacher.
5. Practical Tips: Dr Jain offered practical tips and strategies to help teachers navigate challenges ethically while fulfilling their roles and responsibilities effectively.

Special Session on ICT
Special class on ICT skills was conducted on 7 January 2024 for the students of B.Ed. and M.Ed. The purpose of the class was to enhance the ICT skills and to solve the quarries of the students related to the same. The class was taken by Mr. Adarsh Roushan, Assistant Professor LNCT College Bhopal. Overall, it was a good learning experience for the budding teachers of Christ College.
Special Session on Action Research
A special session on Action Research was taken up by Dr. Diwakar Singh, Associate Professor, on 18 January 2024. Action research is one very popular and essential type of research which is required at every step of teaching and learning. It helps a teacher solve all the day to day issues of a classroom. Hence it was considered important to take up a special session on the same. The session lasted for about one and a half hour. The fruitful session was attended by 50 students from B.Ed.
The Department of Education of Christ College organized a special session on Basic Interview Skills for the students of B.A, B.Com. and B.Ed. on 25 February 2021. The purpose of the session was to go beyond curriculum and teach students the art of facing the interview. This would prepare them for the job market. The Resource Person and the Coordinator of the program was Dr Pallavi Shrivastava, Assistant Professor. Rev. Prof. Johnson, the Principal of the college asked the students to gain knowledge, develop skills and be market ready for a good career ahead. He also shared his experiences and gave some important tips for facing the interviews. The 2-hour session was attended by 50 students of the college. At the end the students also shared their views and cleared their doubts and queries.
Five Days Session on the Philosophical Perspective of Education Concluded
The Five days special session on the Philosophical Perspective of Education was concluded on 28 March 2021. The last session was taken by Rev. Dr. Suresh, Dean of KPRP College of philosophy Bhopal, on the topic Educational Thoughts of Prominent Philosophers. During the concluding session all the students and the Coordinator, Dr. Pallavi Shrivastava, expressed gratitude for all the expert guidance and the knowledge that Rev. Dr. Suresh imparted. The five day session proved to be extremely useful for the students of M.Ed. I Year, who have Philosophical Perspectives in Education as their main subject. These sessions were shared by Rev. Fr. Antony Puthussery SVD and Rev. Dr.
Suresh SVD. This was the first time that Christ College made such a resource sharing with the SVD Philosophy College and the KPRP Bhopal. These eminent Professors of Philosophy deserve special thanks for their erudition and support. We look forward for more such tie ups.
Department of Education organized a Special Session for Dissertation writing on Sunday 7 February 2021 from 11:00 AM. for M.Ed. I and III Semester at Christ College campus. In the Session students of M.Ed. identified their area of research, and learnt the methodology of research. They also interacted with their allotted guides and solved all their quarries. The orientation of the students was done by Rev. Prof. Johnson, Dr. Diwakar Singh, Associate Professor and Dr. Pallavi Shrivastava, Assistant Professor.
