Consultancy Services provided by Christ College Faculty to Chavara Vidyapeth Kheri, Narsinghpur, M.P.
Christ College Bhopal was invited by Chavara Vidyapeth, Kheri, Narsinghpur on 9 October 2023 to offer an orientation to the teaching staff of Chavara Vidhyapeeth on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, and the CBSE School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework (SQAAF). The orientation was organized to enhance the professional development of teachers and to ensure that they are well-equipped to adapt to the evolving educational landscape in India. The orientation program was conducted in a comprehensive manner, addressing various domains and aspects of the NEP 2020, NCF 2023, and the CBSE SQAAF. The commenced
with an introduction to SQAAF by Rev. Prof Johnson, Principal Christ College. The first session was taken up by Dr. Diwakar Singh who provided guidance and insights into Domain 1 and Domain 7 of the SQAAF in lieu of NEP 2020, emphasizing curriculum, pedagogy and assessment and beneficiary satisfaction. In the next session Mrs. Jaya Saini focused on Domain 2 and Domain 4 of the SQAAF in lieu of NEP 2020, which dealt with infrastructure and inclusive practices. The third session was taken up by Dr. Pallavi Shrivastava who provided insights into Domain 3 and Domain 5 of the SQAAF in lieu of NEP 2020, which cover Human resources, management and governance.
Prof. Fr. Johnson S.V. conducted sessions on Domain 6 of the NEP 2020, focusing on leadership. His expertise in leadership was particularly valuable. Mrs. Rony Joy played a crucial role in clearing the doubts and queries of participants related to documentation for the CBSE School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework (SQAAF).
A total of 165 teachers from five different schools affiliated with CBSE and Sahodaya Group attended the orientation program. This substantial turnout indicated the strong commitment of the teachers in enhancing their teaching skills and aligning their practices with the latest educational reforms.
The consultancy services provided by the faculty members of Christ College were a resounding success, enabling teachers from various schools to gain a deeper understanding of the NEP 2020, NCF 2023, and the CBSE SQAAF.
Faculty Orientation Program on CBSE SQAAF
On August 26, 2023, Christ College organised a highly informative and engaging orientation program focused on the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (SQAAF) at Christ School in Patna Buzurg, Rehli, M.P. Faculty members of Christ College oriented staff members on various critical domains of SQAAF. Prof. Father Johnson CMI enlightened the staff on the significance of leadership and the processes involved in SQAAF implementation within Domain 6. Dr. Diwakar Singh delved into Domain 1,
emphasizing curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment. Prof. Father Johnson CMI and Mrs. Jaya Saini discussed strategies for measuring and enhancing beneficiary satisfaction in Domain 7, while Dr. Pallavi Shrivastava provided valuable insights into Domain 3 and 5, covering human resource management and governance. Mrs. Jaya Saini also tackled Domain 2, focusing on infrastructure. Feedback on the program was collected via a Google Form to refine future orientation programs and SQAAF implementation at Christ School. This initiative showcases the colleges dedication to providing schools a high-quality education in alignment with CBSEs SQAAF framework for continuous improvement.
Orientation Program held at BJM Carmel Academy, Chanda
CMI Service Marthoma Province Chanda took a proactive approach to empower CBSE affiliated Schools in anticipation of the impending CBSE SQAAF requirements on 1 October 2023. The initiative aimed to equip staff members with the necessary skills and knowledge for successful implementation of SQAAF. Rev. Prof Johnson CMI, Principal Christ College was the expert resource person of the program. 30 teachers benefitted from his knowledge and experience. The proactive orientation program marked a crucial step towards ensuring excellence and empowerment of the school.
FDP on NEP 2020
The expert faculty members of the Christ College were invited by Maria Vidya Sadan School which is placed at Bareli district of Madhya Pradesh. The topic of the FDP was NEP 2020 – Innovative teaching practices. The FDP was organized on 22 July 2023. The resource persons for the same were Reverend Prof. Johnson CMI, the Principal of Christ College Bhopal who gave an overall introduction to NEP 2020, NCF 2023 and SAQQ, Further in the second session Dr. Johnson explained the meaning, scope, importance of SQAA. Second session was taken up by Ms. Jaya Saini who spoke about the importance of Creative thinking and Critical thinking according to NEP 2020 and NCF
2023.Third session was taken up by Dr Diwakar Singh who gave expert session on experiential learning and the 7 Criteria of School Quality Assessment and Assurance. Last session was taken up by Dr Pallavi Shrivastava on the Aims of NCF 2023 and Role of teachers. On the occasion the Principal of the school Sister Akhila explained the need of this FDP and expressed gratitude to the Christ College team. The FDP was attended by 25 teachers plus the members of management. Overall the session was very fruitful for the participants.
