Research Workshop

A one day workshop for PG students and PhD aspirants in the field of Social Sciences was organized on 27 August 2023. It was organized by Research and development cell of Christ College in association with India Academic Researchers Association IARA. The topics covered under the workshop include meaning of research, need of research, basic steps of research, Identification of the problem, writing title, writing objectives and hypotheses, literature review and google scholar. The resource person of the workshop was Dr Diwakar Sing, Associate Professor of Christ College Bhopal.

Christ College organized a Workshop on Data Analysis and interpretation using SPSS and Excel on 27 July 2023 for all the students of Research. As it is now compulsory for all the school teachers to conduct and teach research, hence SPSS, a software for data analysis is a very big support for the researchers. Therefore keeping in mind the present need, the workshop was organized. It was attended not only by the students of Christ College but also from other reputed institute of the city. On the occasion Rev Fr. Johnson the Principal of Christ College explained the importance of Research and appreciated the efforts of both the organizing team and the participants. The Coordinator of the workshop was Dr Pallavi Shrivastava Sinha, Associate Professor and the Resource person was Dr. Diwakar Singh, Associate Professor. After the workshop feedback was taken from the participants who said to have a very enriching session and they also wished to be a part of more such workshops. This concludes that it was a very successful workshop.

Research and development cell of Christ College organized a Research meet for the present students as well as the Alumini on 7 December 2023. Dr. Diwakar Singh, the convener of the R & D Cell, commenced the program by emphasizing the importance of integrating a research-oriented approach, experiential learning and innovative teaching and assessment techniques in education. The event received accolades from the participants and staff members alike, who commended the R&D cell for their efforts in organizing such a meaningful program.

The Research Cell and Computer Department of Christ College organized a one day workshop on Identifying the problem and writing a research title on 29 December 2021. The workshop was organized by Dr. Diwakar Singh, Associate Professor and Mr. Adarsh Roushan, Assistant Professor. The workshop was for the students of M.Ed. and the research scholars in Social Sciences. There were 19 participants including 2 research scholars from Nutan College and 1 from Mittal College. It was an interactive session throughout . The workshop started with the basics of research by Dr. Diwakar Singh followed by activity based session on problem identification and it was concluded a session on the use of Google Scholar in Research, by Mr. Adarsh Raushan.

A one day workshop on Data Analysis and Interpretation using SPSS was Organized by the Research Cell and Department of Computers on the 6th of March,2022..The Resource persons wer Dr. Diwakar Singh and Mr. Adarsh Raushan. The session was loaded with many activities which included Entering data in SPSS, calculating t Test, ANOVA, Correlation and chi square test in SPSS. Preparing Google Form for Data collection, converting responses in excel sheet, graphical representation, data sorting and writing interpretation. The session was attended by 20 students of Master of Education Course.

Christ College, Department of Education organized a Special Session for Dissertation writing on Sunday 7 February 2021 from 11:00 AM. for M.Ed. I and III Semester at Christ College campus. In the Session students of M.Ed. identified their area of research, and learnt the methodology of research. They also interacted with their allotted guides and solved all their quarries. The orientation of the students was done by Rev. Prof. Johnson, Dr. Diwakar Singh, Associate Professor and Dr. Pallavi Shrivastava, Assistant Professor.
