Induction Program for the Budding Teacher Educators
The Induction Program for the B.Ed. and M.Ed. first semester students was held on 1 August 2023 on the Christ College campus. The program was aimed at to introduce the incoming students to the institutes academic environment, resources, and support systems, ensuring a smooth transition into their educational journey.
The event commenced with lighting the lamp and prayer followed by a warm welcome by Rev. Prof. Johnson, Principal Christ College. Rev. Father expressed his excitement and pride in welcoming the new cohort of students to the college. He highlighted the importance of the induction program as a foundation for success and encouraged students to actively engage in all aspects of their learning experience. The program was carefully crafted to provide students with a comprehensive introduction to university life and academics. Key highlights of the induction program included:
1. Campus Tour: Students were led on a guided campus tour, visiting the library, classrooms, laboratories, and other essential facilities. This enabled them to familiarize themselves with the universitys physical layout.
2. Academic Overview: Faculty members provided insights into the curriculum, course structure, and assessment methods for B.Ed and M.Ed programs. Students gained an understanding of the academic expectations and learning outcomes.
3. Interactive Workshops: Workshops were conducted to equip students with essential skills such as effective study techniques, time management, and digital tools for academic success. These workshops were designed to enhance their learning strategies.
